Stellisee
One of the best places for photos. The Blauherd mountain station is just a few minutes’ walk away to get to the lake at 2537m, ideal for a really relaxing walk in fabulous scenery. The calm water surface in the morning hours (when there is no wind) allows a perfect reflection of the Matterhorn on the lake. Guaranteed to be one of the top spots for pictures in Zermatt.
If you wish, you can also go on a hike that takes you past four other lakes. Read more in our article Hiking in Zermatt.

Kirchbrücke (Church Bridge)
From the Kirchbrücke, you have a particularly beautiful view in the morning, because that’s when the sun lights up the top of the Matterhorn. Also during the day, but definitely one of the best spots in the village to photograph the Matterhorn.

Mürini Viewpoint
For a perfect photo of the whole village, the Mürini viewing platform is one of the best places. From the train station, it’s about a 15-minute walk in the direction of Ried. The climb is a bit steep, but worth the effort. If you want, you can continue walking from the platform to the Ried, where more great views await you.
